FAQs

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes! I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is an important factor so I provide a free 15 minute consultation. During this time you’ll have the opportunity to share what brings you to therapy and ask any questions you may have. If we decide that we’re a good fit then we will move forward in scheduling your first appointment.

Where do your sessions take place?

I provide telehealth which means that sessions take place via a HIPAA compliant online video platform. Providing telehealth also means that you don’t have to battle traffic, find parking every week, and allows for more flexibility in scheduling.

Do you take insurance?

I do not currently accept insurance. However, if your plan has an Out-of-Network benefit, I may be able to provide you with a Superbill. This is a form that you can submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement.

Please contact your insurance company directly with any questions you may have about this process.

What are your rates?

Please contact me directly to discuss rates as they may vary based on income and other factors.

Do you offer a sliding scale fee?

Yes, I believe that cost should not be a barrier to health so I offer a sliding scale to a limited number of clients depending on your income and current life circumstances. If you are in need of a sliding scale I am happy to discuss this further.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

I am considered an out of network provider. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost.  Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.  For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all major credit or debit cards. Payment is collected through a HIPAA compliant electronic health record system. You enter your payment information directly and I do not have access to the full card or account number.

How long does therapy take?

Therapy is unique to each individual and there is no specific time frame for healing. The length of time in therapy can vary depending on your goals and needs.

What is your availability?

I am able to accommodate sessions at a variety of times during the week. I have early morning or late afternoon availability for those looking to schedule before or after work. I am also able to accommodate weekend appointments depending on your availability. Contact me and we’ll find a time that works for you!

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions cancelled less than 24 hours prior to scheduled appointment will be charged the full session fee.
